Mil lived through the second world war and was evacuated to Diss in Norfolk. She loved the woods and collected bluebells on long walks there next to the cottage on top of the hill where Mil and her sister \ray and brother John and mum Rachel lived. They the girls worked on an American airforce base at Eye which ive since found out was a top secret place and had film stars there, John was in the army but once the war was over Mil and ray went to work at Butlins in Clacton for three seasons and actually met Billy Butlin. Mil and her sister were quite glamorous and had a great time horse riding and swimming in their spare time.
